A night at the beach ...

...getting some sea air into our lungs!

.. interesting rocks....

..looking back towards Riverton.

the tide was well out so we got to see some seaweeds and barnacles etc that are usually under water.

...some sand 'trees'  left as the waves receded...

"For whatever we lose(like a you or a me),
It's always ourselves we find in the sea."

(e.e cummings)

On the home front the chickens are growing and have lost a lot of their fluff.

It has been very dry here and quite hot, we need some rain and these clouds look promising.

we have lots of grass for the animals but as we have tanks for the house and the stock we can't water anything much...so rain is looked forward too ....as long as it stops for Thrifty Foxes wedding!

the hot dry weather has been wonderful for the flax, it has flowered and flowered so we have had visitations by many native birds to sip of its nectar.   We love hearing the Bell birds song.
